Drop Anchor is close to shopping and local dining! Just across Route 12 (the beach road), Drop Anchor offers an easy trip to the nearest public beach access, giving you more time to enjoy your beach day yet still close enough to run home, should you need to go back for something.

After a day at the beach, relax on the spacious decks with panoramic views, indulge in the large flat screen TV for the ultimate movie night, or challenge one another to a friendly board game provided by the owner. With an open layout the kitchen, living and dining areas have plenty of space for the whole family. Plan to spend time fishing, swimming, kayaking or just relax on the sun deck and read a book. Check out the fully fenced backyard!

The convenient luggage rack goes from the ground to the top level, making loading and unloading your vehicles a breeze! This is NOT to be used for people. Security deposit required. Please call the Kill Devil Hills office for details!

Please note this home does not include bed linens and towels, however, an optional package can be purchased for an additional charge. No pets, please.

Mid Level: East-facing covered deck. Three queen bedrooms, bedroom with a pyramid bunk bed, 2 hall baths (1 with a Jacuzzi tub/shower combo and 1 with a bathtub/shower combo), laundry closet.

Top Level: Kitchen and dining area, living area with flat screen TV and card table, sliding door to east facing sun deck, half bath.

Overall

You need to walk or drive to nearest public access. If you try to enter between hotels they will ask you to get off their property. The beds were comfortable and there was adequate space and storage. Everything about the kitchen was fine except for the coffee maker which kept collapsing and wouldn't pour correctly. We wasted many grounds and made many messes because it kept falling apart during loading and pouring. The common room is big and spacious. There isn't a master room but that resolves any bickering over who gets the master if you are traveling with extended family or another couple. The elevator lift on the left side of the home was very useful. I recommend you take full advantage of it to transport your luggage.

Overall

The TV in the living area was very temperamental and would disconnect from cable often. It got extremely frustrating especially since there was only one other TV in one of the bedrooms. Only 1 bedroom had TVs. The living room couches were a little hard to get comfortable in. The kitchen had everything we needed readily available.

Overall

This is the second time we have stayed here and will always come back. We love the comfy atmosphere the convenient location and proximity to the beach. The house has all of the comforts of home.

Overall

The house provided for all of our needs and was close enough to walk to the beach. We were able to do everything we needed with all provided for the kitchen. The beds were not very comfortable.

The ability of the pool heater to raise the water to the desired temperature may vary based on weather conditions. Extremely cold or windy weather may impact its performance. Heating may take longer than expected under these weather conditions, and the heater may be unable to obtain the expected water temperature. Guests may experience potential deviations from target temperatures. Hot tubs are open year-round, unless otherwise specified.
