Driftwood is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, surrounded by bicycle & walking paths and less than a mile from the beaches. Our home is a delightfully constructed 2 bedroom, 2 bath bungalow close by the trendy Nags Head Woods Nature Preserve and just blocks from the beach. Supplied with your rental are 2 adult and 1 youth beach cruisers to discover the surrounding neighborhoods. There is a convenient crosswalk at the intersection on the bypass for safe crossings to close by beaches and eateries. We also offer a gas grille and chiminea on the back deck. Driftwood is an superb choice to vacation with its proximity to shopping, eateries, arts, sightseeing, laser tag, boating, fishing, bird watching, jet skiing, surfing, kite boarding & eco tours. We have lived here since 2007 and are very familiar with the area and all it has to offer. We are more than happy to make recommendations of trusted locals who will enhance your vacation with fishing trips, sky diving, horse tours, fine & casual dining, kayaking tours, kitesurfing, hang gliding lessons, a personal chef... the possibilities are countless!

We want you everybody to have a phenomenal, calming hideaway in our Outer Banks home! Part of ensuring the same experience for everybody relies on our housekeepers, inspection personnel, and maintenance repair personnel being able to get the home in tip top shape for you and your family in-between renters. They do a amazing job of making sure everything is done during a very short window. Check-out time is 10 am and departure instructions are supplied in your welcome letter and are also in the guestbook binder located in our home. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow them the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.

We understand that there are times when you may need an early check-in time. We are happy to offer guaranteed early check-in if you have confirmed & paid for this additional service 2 weeks prior to arrival. This payment accepts us to compensate our home staff for prioritizing our home for your early arrival at 1 pm. As a courtesy to our service vendors, we ask that you please do not park at the home, drop off personal items, or ask our vendors if the home is ready yet if you do not choose to coordinate a guaranteed early check-in. We appreciate your understanding as we prepare our home for your hideaway!
