Classic, timeless Outer Banks - you can't get any closer to the Atlantic Ocean without being in it!
Sit on the porch with your cup of coffee and watch the waves crash on the beach while appreciating ocean breezes, passing pelicans, and the occasional frolicking pod of dolphins. The beach is your backyard. As an added additional, there are no giant mini-mansions or hotels on this stretch of beach. And in season, the nearest lifeguard stand is less than 50 yards from the home.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a great vacation. The expansive windows allow you to savor the view of the ocean from every angle, whether in the kitchen cooking dinner or just calming in the living room. You and the kids are already home when you need to take a bathroom or snack break while playing on the beach.
Located near Helga Street at milepost 5.5, we are within walking distance to Avalon Fishing Pier, Awful Arthur's, Ashley's Espresso Parlour, Dunkin Donuts, Two Roads Tavern, Chili Pepper's, Henry's Restaurant, Heaven Fun Park, a yoga studio, and Brew Thru. And, you are just a few mins. drive to many more eateries and Outer Banks attractions.

This is an oceanfront home located in the dunes so there is sand in the driveway.
PET OWNERS PLEASE READ - Dogs ONLY - must be approved in advance. Please include when booking. 2 dogs max.. Well, socialized, home-trained, friendly, adult animals ONLY. There is a $150 pet fee (per stay (up to a week) for one dog and $200 for two. Pet owners must not leave family pets unattended in the home for long periods without crates. If your dog is a "shedder' we ask that you reasonably keep up on the hair and DO NOT ALLOW THEM ON THE COUCHES OR BEDS. If you can't keep your dog off the couch, please bring your own pet blanket and clean up any hair before you leave. (We have a lint roller in the kitchen to help you.) Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste from the beach and outside the bungalow. If pet waste must be removed after checkout, there is a $250 removal fee.
We supply the first roll of toilet paper and paper towels, but guests are responsible for additional needs.
Bath towels and linens are included based on expected occupancy. You must bring your own beach towels.
Please indicate the actual number of guests INCLUDING DOGS staying when booking.
Unapproved outside overnight guests are not allowed.
Absolutely NO event groups. Family groups only. The minimum age for renters not accompanied by a family group or parent or guardian is 30 years old.
Please leave the home tidy basically as you found it.
If you break something, please let us know in advance so we can plan to take care of it. We have dogs and kids and know that "stuff" happens.
We do ask guests to take the trash carts to the road on the appropriate days. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this.
About the Area
Located in Kill Devil Hills, this cottage is on the beach. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Monument to a Century of Flight and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Paradise Fun Park and Children at Play Museum are also worth visiting.
