Centrally located to the beach life, this modernized, dog-friendly 3 BR/2BA home is 3 mins. from the beach and less than 500 yards from spectacular sunsets over the Albemarle Sound. This home was refreshed with comfort in mind! From the master bath with walk-in tile shower to wood floors and a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, it will be simple to make this your home away from home.

NOTE: Guests will stay on the SECOND FLOORING of the home. There is a modest family-occupied apartment on the ground level, but there is NO SHARED ACCESS between the two spaces.

As our guest, you will have full access to all the OBX YMCA has to offer at no additional cost (Outdoor pool in season). We have a parking pass to a private oceanfront parking lot just 3 mins. from the home. Parking is on a first-come basis. A full-size washer/dryer is available for our guests to use during their stay. All linens are supplied! The kitchen is outfitted with basic oils and spices.

The location of our home could not be more convenient! Located centrally in Kill Devil Hills, eateries, piers, national parks, movie theatres, grocery stores, and shopping are just a short drive or casual bicycle ride away. A boat ramp provides access to the Sound and is located within a mile of the home.

At the end of the peaceful, tree-lined street is a multi-use path that meanders along the sound. It is ideal for a bicycle ride, run or leisurely walk to see spectacular sunsets over Albemarle Sound. This makes this pet-friendly home the ideal place to relax and savor the beauty of the Outer Banks.

About the Area

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this vacation home is by the sea. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Monument to a Century of Flight and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Paradise Fun Park and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to visit & When to book:

  • To get the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Kill Devil Hills restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • In the Kill Devil Hills area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
