Hughes Retreat Condominiums - Unit #303. DOG FRIENDLY (No Cats Accepted), Wireless Internet, Washer/Dryer/ We do take monthly units but only from Sept. 9 - May 11 in the Off-Season. This is a 3rd floor condo in Kill Devil Hills across the street from the beach. Public beach access is approx. 1 block south of Hughes (w/parking). Nice vistas of the ocean from the deck as you relax in our rocking chairs in the cool breeze. The interior is decorated in beach themes & pastels with every amenities you would need in the full kitchen. BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS. The $200 "Property Fee" is actually a Security Deposit and will be refunded after your stay as long as there is no damage to the condo, you check out on time at 10:00a.m. And follow all check out procedures outlined in the contract. $100 late fee if check out is not on time and cleaner cannot enter the premises. This does not include normal wear and tear. Owner will send details later.
Two bedrooms each have a king size bed and the third bedroom has a pyramid bed (sleeps two on the bottom and one on the top plus a trundle bed pulls out from underneath). If the pyramid bed is not for you, then pull out the queen size sleep couch in the living room and make yourself more comfortable. Each bedroom has its own TV (for streaming) and a 40" HDTV (with cable) in the living room as well as a DVD player. There is an elevator so you can go up to the 3rd floor conveniently. Pool (20'x30') available & 2 covered parking spaces.


Dog Friendly: We welcome Dogs!! In fact, we have a mini labradoodle! There is a non-returnable pet fee of $100 charged to renters. A pet contract will need to have a signature and acceptance within the regular contract. There are peaceful streets close by to walk your dogs as well as an open grassy area beside the condo. Please be considerate and clean up after your dog every time. Dogs are not allowed on the beaches without a leash. Also, if your dog sheds excessively, please vacuum up their hair as much as possible.

Printed here for your convenience is the Kill Devil Hills town law as it pertains to dogs:
Between May 15 and September 15 of each year, no dogs shall be allowed on the public beach between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless being used to aid a handicapped person. At all other times, no dogs shall be allowed on the public beaches except upon a leash and under the control of owner or handler. Please clean up after your dog.
