The well-appointed kitchen is located on the other side of the living area. It features all of the necessities for preparing coastal cuisine and now includes a dishwasher and countertop ice maker for calming evenings with a cool drink or the ideal reprieve on a warm summer day. Both rooms have a closet to store all of your beach clothes! The full bathroom with a shower/tub combo is located off of the kitchen as well.
Step outside onto the deck and relax on the outdoor loveseat while you soak in the sunshine and salt air. How to book the best rental experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- In the Kill Devil Hills area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kill Devil Hills area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 5041 The Captains Quarters *1 Block to Boat Access has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
