Located at Mike Post 7, this oceanside beach box bungalow named ‘The Mermaid Shanty’ is located just 2 blocks from the best lifeguarded beach on the central Outer Banks of North Carolina. The first thing that will catch your eye is the inviting screened in front porch, just waiting for you to sit and watch the sun come up & sip coffee or appreciate an afternoon drink! Sunbathe on the back deck in the afternoon or grille food by the fire pit at nighttime. This home is a ideal hideaway for families with kids, couples, or a guys/girls week! Quiet street, 2 blocks to beach access, 2 blocks to Goombay’s Raw Bar and Grille, Publix, Food Lion, Lowes, & department stores located within walking distance.

The interior was professionally refreshed & decorated with beach inspired furnishings. There are 3 bedrooms & 2 1/2 bathrooms. One bedroom with a king bed, another with a queen bed, & a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, sleeps-4 (ideal for kids or adults). There is a locked storage underneath the home where there is a full bath with an enclosed shower, toilet and sink (ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach) & washer & dryer.

Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
