Welcome to Mai Tai at Cambridge Reserve by KEES Vacations!

Centrally located in Kill Devil Hills, this pet-friendly, three-bedroom, 3-and-1-half bath condo is ideal for long or short stays! Mai Tai offers convenience, comfort, and proximity to all the best bars, eateries, attractions, and beaches in the Outer Banks!

Mai Tai accepts for amazing sunset viewing and a chilled-out vacation. Cook up something hot on the gas grille, soak in the hot tub, and and/or relax in the shade on one of the porch. The second level of this property is where you will spend the most time. Savor an open floor plan concept which includes a comfortable living area, full modern kitchen, a dining table for everybody, access to the deck, and a half bathroom.

When it's time to head to bed, take your pick from the three En Suites! All guests will appreciate having their own bathroom. On the second level is a charming King En Suite as well as a Pyramid Bunk En Suite (Twin over Full). For the most fortunate of the group, head on up to the third level and savor the Queen En Suite with Two Queen Beds which has the entire level to itself.

Guests can enjoy access to the community pool that has both a lazy river and a splash pad, painless beach access that is a short drive from the property, and sunset vistas from the sound front community pier. Launch kayaks, bottom fish, or take in the surroundings while visiting this area.

Guests can discover the area and close by attractions including the Wright Brothers National Monument, the historic Bodie Island Lighthouse, Roanoke Island Festival Park, and simple day trips to Hatteras Island, Duck, and Corolla.

Mai Tai is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a modest one-time fee of $135, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

This property has 3 parking spots for guests: one in the driveway, one in the garage, and one designated overflow spot. (Guests are allowed access to the garage.) Please note that there are also multiple first-come, first-served visitor parking spots.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on weekends only (Friday to Sunday) May 3 to May 19. Beginning May 24, the pool will be open daily and close on September 30 for the season. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

**Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6 p.m. on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days.**

Check-In begins at 4PM. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.

About the Area

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this vacation home is near the beach. Wright Brothers National Memorial and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Jennette's Pier and Destination Fun. Stop-N-Shop Beach Shop and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf are also worth visiting. Jet skiing, water skiing, and sailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Kill Devil Hills vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review.
