Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental.
