About this Property

- Private vacation home
Named after our pampered German Shepherd, Tucker’s Treehouse is our dog friendly, entirely refreshed 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom home with a completely fenced back yard. The home is 2 mins. walk to the sound where you’ll catch pretty sunsets while cycling or walking the dog along the water. This is Tucker’s third beach home (spoiled boy!) and it is as meticulously maintained as the first and second. Check out our other units "Tucker’s Sandbar" and “Tucker’s Sandbox” for our amazing reviews.
We created Tucker’s Sandbar, Sandbox and now Treehouse because we were disappointed in the options available when traveling with our dog. Either the homes were bare of furnishings or dirty with dog hair. You will not find that here at Tucker’s Treehouse . We pride ourselves on attention to detail, and providing a great vacation home that has what you need and some extras too! WE ALLOW ONE DOG AND DO NOT ALLOW ANY OTHER KIND OF PET. A second dog will be considered with an additional $100 for cleaning.
The home is a beach box style with double decks, and is in a peaceful impressive residential neighborhood just two blocks from the sound and a couple mins. drive to the beach. The home is ideal for families or couples traveling with their dog looking for a place to relax.
As you come up the stairs to enter the home, there is outdoor seating for six and a enormous propane fire pit to savor on colder nights. The door opens with a key code so that you will never be locked out.
Once inside you’ll enter into an open floor plan with the kitchen to your left in the living room to your right. All of the furnishings is brand new and the kitchen is very well appointed with nearly anything you would need to prepare and serve for six guests. The living room has a huge intelligent TV (no cable) and beneath it, an electric fireplace. We provide WiFi, at the fastest speed available in the outer banks.
There are three bedrooms, with a king bed in the master and queen beds in the others. The beds have high-quality percale cotton sheets as well as quilts. There are additional blankets and pillows in each closet. The master bedroom opens to a balcony and staircase into the yard which is great for letting pup out!
The hallway bathroom has a full tub shower and the master bathroom is en suite with a walk-in stall type shower. The towels are high-quality cotton, and there are six bath and twelve washcloths included. We also provide beach towels for each guest.
For pup, there are sizable elevated food bowls, dog towels, treats (of course!) and a huge crate with crate pad. The yard is fully fenced with a 6 foot fence.
For little ones, we have a pack and play at the home or a full crib available upon request. Also, there is a washer and dryer for your use as well as beach chairs and a cooler.
We are happy to answer any questions about the home and hope you have as many phenomenal memories of your time at the beach as our family does!

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Kill Devil Hills rental home experience:
When to book a Kill Devil Hills rental & When to go:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Kill Devil Hills area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your group select vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Tucker’s Treehouse - pup friendly with fully fenced yard! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Kill Devil Hills attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
