When it's time to settle down for the nighttime, you'll rest simple in one of the three comfortable bedrooms all located down the hallway. Get some rest in the King Master Bedroom with a TV and its own private bathroom with a shower/tub combo or the Queen Bedroom with a TV. Tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Kill Devil Hills area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kill Devil Hills area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 5170 RVA Hideaway*Dog Friendly*Fenced Yard*Hot Tub has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
