All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a modest fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Wright Brothers National Memorial and Monument to a Century of Flight are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Jennette's Pier and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf.   • Summer time is high season in the Kill Devil Hills area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Kill Devil Hills area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance.   • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
